Festivities Fotos

Evan informed me that we needed to celebrate Thanksgiving for 3 days...just like the pilgrims :)

It's become a tradition to make a craft that can hold a place card name... this year Dad and the boys made turkeys and filled them with Reese's Pieces. Then we just put the little name card in...

This Turkey was good but not as wonderful as I had hoped. I even brined it. I'll have to research that a little more for next year. This picture is halfway through cooking.

I use Christmas paper plates...Oh, that is so taboo in my house but I didn't feel like doing dishes! Don't hate me...

Can these faces get any cuter...

Yes! they sure can! Do you understand how difficult it is to get them to sit still long enough for a picture? Hilarious for everyone else to watch but not for the photographer!

Mom got a kick out of it!

And even "some" of the big kids were a pain for pictures this year! Ugh! But I got at least one that was good!

This is my oldest Amy and her husband David...Love you Guys!

Cheesin' for the camera!

Happy Day, Give Thanks!

Thanksgiving is becoming more and more important to me every year. I love this time of the year. Our family comes together...sometimes it's the first time we are ALL together in the same house since the last Holiday season. It's sad to see my babies grow up but I'm proud of them and what they are accomplishing in there lives. I have a wonderful Grandson and Son in Law, and it just warms my heart to see the beginning harvest of the pioneer days of our newly found Christian walk, so many years before.

I pray you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! And if you don't have anyone to share it with...come over and share it with us! God Bless you!

Asher Dasher's birthday...big 4!

Well this isn't Asher but he's stinkin' cute with those pigtails! Love you Levi! You're getting to be such a big girl , ah I mean boy!
And this isn't Asher's birthday either but the boys were so proud of their pumpkin!
Our Doctor and solder...it definitely was not my idea to get that solder costume!

OK, on to the birthday. Asher was sung to 3 times this year. Once on his actual birthday...
Also at Chuck E Cheese...
The boys are a bit insane!

Asher also share a birthday with his brother-in-law! Yup, this is Asher's brother-in-law David...he's married to big sister Amy :)

Awe, I love my kids!

We had been praying and fasting the past couple of weeks - finances, need I say more?...then we found out that Brad will be out of work for 2 1/2 months due to minor surgery. Did I mention we are only an one income family?! the first thing I did was panic. Then we decided to fast and pray. And it was just into a few days of this that I began to feel a total release and God's hand beginning to move. I Praise Jesus the mountains are moving. If you are feeling overwhelmed, and you have no idea what you are going to do or where the finances are going to come from, or how God can make a way where there is no way, pray...and keep praying. DON'T GIVE UP! There are mountains to be moved! People to be saved! Healing to be received! Children to be brought home!

For us, He is teaching us to stand and fight.

For you, God knows what your struggle is and He is mindful of YOU. He knows you. Everything about you and your situation. I just wanted to share the Bible scriptures in Isaiah that have been a blessing to me recently. I've also been reading in the beginning of Joshua where God's people battled for the Promised Land as they stood in obedience. I Pray these will be a blessing to you. I won't write them out as they are too long...please look them up and believe that God's hand is for you, not against you. Stand firm! (Ephesians 6:14-18)

Isaiah 40:27-31
Isaiah 43:1-7 "because I love you" (v4)
